Ring App
App updated - now no longer works
Hello, I updated the Ring app on my Android, as an email requested I do, and now the app no longer works. It crashes every time I try to open it, and I get no notifications. My system says it's fully updated so I don't think it's that.

Hi neighbors. Make sure that in addition to updating the Ring app, you are also updating your phone's operating system (OS). You can find more information on mobile device compatibility in our Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4812209807124-Mobile-Device-Compatibility-and-the-Ring-App). If the Ring app is still crashing after you've updated the Ring app and your phone's OS, please try the following: * Open your device’s **Settings** app * Look for the menu that says **Apps** and tap to open it * Tap on **Ring App** * Tap on **Storage** * Tap on **Clear Data** * Tap on **Confirm** * Delete the Ring app * Go to the Google Play Store to download it again * Open the Ring App and sign in Let me know if these troubleshooting steps helped out. :)

I was going to say clear you cache. Then if that doesn't work, uninstalling and reinstalling and app usually works. Sometimes when the Systems update it has a single component that doesn't transfer to all the Apps on your Phone right away. You can Also Restart your phone after you clear the cache before trying the uninstall. You should be restarting your phone every few days to clear it and update it.

I'm having the same issue, and my phone is on Android 12, so that shouldn't be the issue. Also, based off the reviews on the appstore, a lot of people are having this issue.
