2 Owners on account
account-settings
app-request

I’d like to be able to adjust settings but because my husband was home when the system was set up, he is the ‘owner’. I really think you need a system that allows more than one administrator to be assigned. I think it’s going to be frequent that the non-technical person is the one at home when they’re setting it up. This was the case with my system. I’m a technical person yet I was at work when the device was set up. Now I can’t change any of the settings because I don’t have access on the app. I really think the development team needs to figure out how to allow to admin accounts to allow for two separate adults to be able to change the settings. Sort of like on a PC where the person who sets up the computer can then set up the other family accounts and either give administrative privileges or not.

We do not allow for more than one person to be the owner on a Ring account. You can add additional users as Shared Users. You're welcome to add this idea to the Feature Request board, which is how we gather and share feedback with our teams.

I'm not sure if this has changed but this is completely unacceptable. My home is managed by two people, myself and my wife. she should have all of the abilities I have on the Ring app. FIX IT...

Hey neighbors! Thank you for your feedback. I made sure to pass this onto the appropriate team for you. In the future, if you have any feature requests and additional ideas, feel free to post them in our feature request board [here](https://community.ring.com/t5/Ring-App/Ring-App-Feature-Request/m-p/938#M44). We have one for each of our product boards so you can put them where you feel they are best fit!

Hi @rvtraveler100. At this time we do not allow for more than 1 owner to be on the account. We recommend to set up the devices on whomever may be more accessible to make device and account changes and then add the second user as a Shared User under the Main Menu \> Settings \> Users from the owner's account side.

Ring has a milllion other bugs they are chasing in their app, and I doubt we'll ever see the "nice to have" features. Just use the same login and password for both of your devices..... done! Works for us.

It’s 2023, Ring should at this point have the capacity to have more than one owner on an account. Only the owner can favorite a video, which is ridiculous too.

It’s been over four years since this post- this feature would make so much sense. My husband and I are joint owners on the deed to our home, and—by extension— we like to share the emotional labor and mental load of running a household. The fact that this feature still doesn’t seem to be available obligates one of us to handle all things security-related for our home all the time. That rigidity does not align with the fluidity of our day-to-day lives or our commitment to jointly share in household responsibilities. Constraining our home location to only one owner on the Ring app is not reflective of home partner dynamics in real life, and is shortsighted. Assuming this was a no-brainer for such a huge brand, I went ahead and set up some devices and it turns out the location was created as separate from that of the location my husband created for the same home in which he shared multiple devices with me. I’ve set up two devices myself and am ready to set up at least four more, only to realize that one of us now has to delete all the devices set up under their instance of our home’s location so that the other can add it to their instance of our home location and then share back all previously shared devices with the other to ensure they’re all under the same “location” and can be linked to Chime Pro. What a headache. We both travel a lot for work. So impractical to have to wait for the “chosen” owner to return from a trip to install a new device when the other property owner is freely available to do it at home. This is particularly stressful when in a hurry to set up a device to cover a new angle of our home after learning our neighbor’s home was accessed from a specific point and burglarized.

We too would really appreciate this feature be updated so my husband and I can both be "owners" and make adjustments as needed.

Ignore me if you tried or saw this but some suggested on another thread for both of you to use the same login on your phones. I haven’t confirmed this works yet, but will try tomorrow and report back.  let me know if you tried this already….Thanks

Same here. It’s OUR equipment that WE purchased and a service WE pay for and shouldn’t have to ask permission to set it up with two owners! Absolutely ridiculous!
