    The cable in the picture looks like a stripped back cat 5 network cable it’s only low voltage so no idea of how you are trying to connect it to any sort of mains outlet so would suggest you get a professional electrician to take a look.

        From the picture looks like you are in the US if so you have 110v plus and can’t see you connecting it to a cat 5 network cable without causing serious problems as I said time you got yourself a professional electrician in.
