Silence the Siren
We live in an apartment and want to silence the siren so if we are away and there is an event (door opened, sensor failure, etc) the siren does not sound, but police are notified. Is there a way to do this?

This inability makes using the ring alarm system unusable in a multi-dwelling building. Let’s face it false alarms occur quite often and the volume is frightening for neighbors especially the elderly and especially late at night/early hours of the morning. Its is likely to be misinterpreted as the buildings fire alarm. Ring alarm system owners need the ability to adjust the volume of the alarm or at least bypass it all together. BIG FLAW!!

Hi neighbors. I was able to find this Feature Request [post](https://community.ring.com/t/adjust-alarm-siren-volume-or-have-a-silent-alarm/54721) requesting your suggestion. Feel free to comment or add a vote to the post. 🙂

Hi @RJMullins. The Siren on the Ring Alarm Base Station is a fixed 104 dB. This volume is not adjustable. When the Ring Alarm is armed and a sensor is tripped, the siren will sound. Once the siren is sounding, you do have an option to silence the siren in the Ring app, but there is no way to completely bypass it.
