Setting up Ring at an additional property
We have just bought a Holiday home abroad which we would also like to put in a Ring System, predominately cameras as we have an alarm system there already linked to the local police. The cameras are really to allow us to see the property and check on it (and also check that the pool person and gardener actually do turn up and do the work they bill us for each month :) as we get to know them). We have a full Ring system at our main home, so the question is: Can we just add outside cameras to our existing Ring account, even though they are on a different Wifi and in a different country? Do we need a Base station for the new property? How good are the solar panelled supported cameras? We have the battery versions at home and they are good, but obviously we can replace them easily when needed, or should we go mains powered?Would really appreciate any help and guidance you can give us please? Thanks

Thanks that helps a lot, ok, no need for base station (thank you) I can just connect them via the WiFi and use another location for the cameras. Good idea re the wired route too, appreciate the help 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Hi @user_d671a3. This is something you should be able to do. For your cameras, you'll need to have them on their own Location. You will not need a Base Station, as this is just for the Ring Alarm system. If you are not going to be there often, I would suggest going the wired route. Although Solar does last a long time, it eventually needs to be recharged. And if your luck is like mine, it will be right at the wrong time! Let me know if you have any additional questions.
