Ring extender smartphone app red indicator

Our Ring Extender is registered as Online by the Ring smartphone app but a red dot with a lightening bolt appears in the Extender configuration page. What does the red dot mean?

Hi @FixMacs. I would check to see if there is a firmware update available for the Range Extender. Updating the firmware on the Range Extender should make the red icon disappear. To check the firmware, open the Ring app and select the Base Station, then tap the firmware tile. I hope this helps!
