Ring Base station connection ethernet or wifi?

I'm ready to hook up my Ring Alarm base station. What is the better hook up...ethernet connection between base station and back of xfinity gateway or no Ethernet connection (hook up via wifi)? Thanks

    I used WiFi since my base station is not in a place where I could easily run an ethernet cable. If I had the option, though, I'd go with wired just because one could argue that it's a more reliable connection.

      Hi @BMeadBam. I agree with @windracer on this. If it is possible to have a wired connection, I would choose that option. WiFi is still a good option, depending on the distance from your router.
