Motion sensors do not trigger alarm when in 'Away'mode?

I have installed a ring alarm with several motion sensors and door alarms. The issue I have is the door alarms immediately activate the siren, however the motion sensors just send me a message and do not activate the alarm.What am I doing wrong and what settings do I need to rectify this?Thanks
