Keypad w/o Alarm?

Question

Is it possible to use a keypad to control the mode of doorbells, cameras, and smart lighting without having an alarm system? I'm basically looking for a quicker, more convenient way of switching between modes without having to open the app.

Hi @Bryanw511. You cannot use a Ring Alarm Keypad to change the modes of your Doorbells or Cameras, as the Keypad is designed to control the Ring Alarm system. The Keypad uses z-wave to communicate with the Base Station, and the Base Station uses a wifi or ethernet connection to communicate information about the system to your phone via the Ring App. I hope that helps clear things up for you! :)
