Gen2 door sensor short battery life
door-sensor
One of my gen2 door sensors is eating batteries at an alarming pace, about a set every 4 weeks. It’s 5 feet away from the base and none of my other 6 sensors, a mix of gen1 and gen2 have an issue. Suggestions? Should I request a replacement?

Hi @Mjw930l. If you haven't already, I'd suggest performing a factory reset on the Contact Sensor along with a fresh setup. You can find steps on how to reset your Ring Alarm devices in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000071906-How-to-Factory-Reset-Your-Ring-Alarm-Devices). If it still seems to be going through batteries very quickly, our support team can look into it closer and see if a replacement is needed. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. :)
