Ring Alarm
Cellular backup issues
What causes the alarm system to continuously go into cellular backup and back to restored without the internet impacting. I am experiencing 20 times a day.

Hi @Roadbully. Ensure that your Base Station is not too far from your router, as distance can impact the connectivity and cause temporary disconnects. If your Base Station is frequently disconnecting from the wifi but you are not experiencing a wifi outage, please try the troubleshooting steps below: * Reboot your Base Station by **quickly** pressing and releasing the reset button at the back of the device with a paper clip or similar tool. **Do not hold this button down, or you will factory reset your entire system.** * Reboot your router by unplugging it from the power source for about a minute before plugging it back in. Monitor the Base Station's connectivity after trying the above steps. If this concern persists, you will need to follow up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance. Good question @Hook73! If you are receiving cellular backup alerts but not battery back up alerts, this is an indicator of network connectivity loss. I recommend connecting your Base Station to ethernet if possible, as this will rule out any wifi interferences. Feel free to let us know how this goes! :)
