Battery draining door contact sensor new product
contact-sensor

Hi I have had the product in place for a couple weeks now and I’m on my 3rd set of batteries. No other sensor we have has this problem It is close to WiFi and an extender and this door is not used any more than ones with other sensors (even ones which are further away)

This is odd to hear of, as the batteries should last a long time in general, and especially compared to your other Sensors. As you mentioned the signal being sufficient, and having a range extender, please check for any major interferences existing here such as appliances or electronics. Ensure also, that this Sensor is installed in a place that is considered indoors, and temperature controlled, as cold temperatures can impact batteries. You've done an excellent job to cover most of the steps for battery drainage on an Alarm Contact Sensor. If this concern persists, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406).
