UIs the potential update added so I can connect a usb fast thumb drive or ssd portable storage, or a dongle to micro ssd to the recommended I has a subscribtion just not the newest ring base station, don’t need it to be a wifi router other than connecting the ring devices to it wirelessly

CHi @user_e0b08c. The Ring Alarm Pro Base Station has the capability to process and store videos locally with a microSD card. This does require the Alarm Pro Base Station, and the Ring Home Premium plan. You can learn more here https://ring.com/support/articles/pmod0/Using-MicroSD-Cards-for-Ring-Alarm-Pro.

Glad you asked @Ben! The USB port in the back of the Base Station is for potential future expansions. We recommend neighbors not use that for anything at this time, including to charge the Keypad.
