Additional Keypads and omit sensors at night

I am about to purchase a new system for my house and would appreciate some guidance:Can I add an additional keypad to a 2nd generation alarm system to allow two entry and exit points to my house?Can we omit sensors at night time to allow the alarm to be set but keep the route to the upstairs bathrooms accessible?Thanks in advance
