Hi @user56481. The Ring Alarm Smoke & CO Listener is able to detect the standard temporal T3 smoke and fire alarm, which is 3 long beeps in a row. If your smoke alarm does not play this standard pattern, the Smoke & CO Listener would not register it. The specific frequency should not make a difference. Make sure the Listener is installed within 3-6 inches of the smoke alarm as well.
