Why is recording always late to start?

Why does your video capture always start so late? You should modify software to back it up 5-10 seconds so you record and capture the whole delivery to my porch! Most often, you only record the driver walking away after porch delivery. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Hi @Pollgreen. You may want to try adjusting your settings if you find that motion at your Doorbell is being detected too late. First, you can try adjusting the Motion Frequency if you have a battery powered device. You can read more about Motion Frequency in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477106-Understanding-and-Optimizing-Motion-Detection-with-Motion-Frequency). Additionally, you can adjust the [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-with-your-Ring-Devices) themselves to make sure they encompass the area you want motion to be captured in. Try expanding your Motion Zones to cover a bit more of your walkway, and you can increase the sensitivity as well. If this problem still persists after you experiment with your settings, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) so they can look into this more closely with you. We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times. If you are outside of the US, please read our response to COVID-19 [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360041597471) to see how to contact support. :)
