I can leave the usb wire permanently in the bell but only connect it when charging is required this will mean that the bell will not have to be removed for charging Will this be OK?

Hi @user_ebf8e1. Which Ring Doorbell are you referring to? The model name can be found on the Device Health page, or on the back of the Doorbell itself. Some Doorbell models do not have a removable battery. In that case, we do not recommend leaving the charging cable plugged in. The Doorbell should be removed from where it is installed when the battery needs to be charged.
