Upgrade from version 1 Doorbell
Hi, I would like to change my old Ring (version 1,SD) with the latest one (e.g. Doorbell 3) . Is the wiring and mounting plate and power consumption identical or the new bell is not mountable instead of the old version?Will I be able to transfer my active plan to new doorbell?

Hi @Majo. If you are upgrading your Ring Doorbell to a newer model, the old mounting hardware that you have will need to be uninstalled. The holes and mounting plate will not align properly with the older models. Good news, the Ring Doorbell 3 comes with all the hardware necessary and we also have a fantastic [No Drill Mount](https://ring.com/collections/accessories/products/no-drill-mount-rvd3) option.
