My doorbell is hard wired but wants me to charge it.

I’m a little annoyed and I don’t have time to charge my doorbell. I think it’s 2years old maybe - and it’s hardwired - why is it telling me to charge the doorbell so it will start working again?!

Hi @Serious12345. Which model of Doorbell do you have? This information is located on the original box and on the back of the device itself. Typically, our battery-operated devices have the ability to be wired into an existing doorbell circuit so they can receive a trickle charge that helps keep the battery topped off. If the Doorbell is experiencing a large number of motions, dings, and Live Views, the battery may drain more quickly than the trickle charge provided by the doorbell circuit. Approximately how many events does your Doorbell receive each day? You can view this in the Event History log.
