Starting from scratch with Ring Wired
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell
I just purchased the Ring Wired and having my contractor install it in a few weeks. The instructions say must be hardwired to an existing doorbell system or transformer with 10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz What would you suggest I purchase for the best results? I don't have either at the moment. I purchased the wireless chime as well but could be open to returning that if the chime from the existing doorbell could be implemented as well. Lost! Help please!

Hi @ctorres903. The Video Doorbell Wired does not sound any existing doorbell chimes. To hear audio alerts in your home, you'll need to pair it with a Ring Chime or a compatible Alexa device. This means there's no specific transformer or doorbell you need for the Doorbell Wired, it just needs to meet the power requirements that are listed. You can also find the installation instructions for the Doorbell Wired [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054984332-Video-Doorbell-Wired-Installation-Guide), which will help give you an idea of what to expect. I hope this information helps! :)
