Ring wired intermittent push notifications

Hi, I have a new latest gen hard wired doorbell powered from the ring supplied transformer which is only notifying the app perhaps 7/10 times when the bell is pushed. (i don't use motion notifications)The transformer voltage is showing good and wifi strength showing RSSI-54 in green in the app (its approx 5 metres from the router anyway).This is both when i'm at home showing full bars of wifi on my phone, and on 4G while away.I can hear the bell sound when pressed, the chime sounds, but quite often i get no notification to the app.I've obviously rebooted the doorbell and app.Any thoughts?
