Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Video Door Bell 3 muting device ring
I’ve recently installed my video door bell 3. It’s hard wired into my old mechanical door bell which rings through just fine. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to turn off the door chime sound the actual ring device makes but also keep all the functionality of push to cellphone for doorbell rings. For me it does not makes sense that the door bell would ring in my house and also separately on the actual device outside. Not to mention the ring device doorbell noise is just not great. Anyway to just mute the doorbell chime noise on the ring?

Glad you asked, @Zaknafein! The sound that emits from your Ring Doorbell on a button push (ring) event most certainly can be turned down. This option can be found in your Ring app but following these steps: 1. While logged into the Ring app, open the Menu (3 lines, top left). 2. Select Devices from the menu, then choose your Doorbell 3. 3. Tap your Video Doorbell's Device Settings tile. 4. In the device settings list you will want to choose General Settings. 5. There should be a volume slider available, which will control this audio. Of course, this will only impact the alert sound heard from the Doorbell, and not any other audio, or your Ring app notifications. I hope this helps! :)
