Ring pro 2 .. door bell works fine but no android phone bell rings?

Question

if i press the door bell on my new  pro 2... it rings.. i can see via the app on my android samsung phone who is at the door. it records fine too... i have set up notifications on the ring app and on phone...it all works  indivually but.. if a visitor press doorbell it rings at the doorbell, but the  phone is silent so unless i am in the porch i do not know someone is at the door? whats wrong? what have i missed i have tried all the troubleshooting but to no avail. Wifi signal is 38 m/sec d/load at doorbell and 20 upload. I am thinking of sending it back.
