Ring not recording events when smart lock used

I have a Ring video doorbell 3 and a Yale Smart lock. However, everything someone open the door, the ring is not recording the event. They don't have any direct connection, at least not that I am aware of, but because it's a time where movement happens, I would expect it to record. I am setting on the away mode, detection sensitivity is closest to max. Can someone help me to configure it to record those events? Thank you

Hi @deferato. The smart lock itself shouldn't have any bearing on the Video Doorbell's motion detection and recording. If someone walks into one of the Doorbell's Motion Zones will motion detection is enabled, it should detect and record that person. Verify that motion detection isn't disabled within the [Modes](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-of-Your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes) settings. Additionally, if you have the Live View active when someone is walking up to the door to unlock it, the Doorbell will already be recording the Live View. If this concern persists after checking the above, I'd recommend following up with our support team at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) to investigate this further. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
