Ring Holds Piston Down
hardwired-video-doorbell

I had the Ring doorbell set up and working fine, but recently noticed that when the Ring button is pressed, the chime piston is held down for a few seconds, making a buzzing sound, and then after 10 seconds is released, making the doorbell ring. You can see what I mean in this video: https://www.dropbox.com/s/80c1ireh9grtxus/20210312_151737.mp4?dl=0 (just cancel out of the Dropbox signin/signup box when it appears) Any idea what's going on and how to fix?

Hi @Bayaud. It sounds like you have a mechanical chime but may have selected that you have a digital chime in the Ring App. Which model of Doorbell do you have? You can find this information on the back of the Doorbell itself, on the original packaging, or on the Device Health screen in the Ring App.

[Sorry, would have responded sooner but didn't get a notification email] I bought this one, a couple of years ago: # Ring Video Doorbell Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M125RNW It was set to Digital for some reason; but those settings are a new feature, right? When I installed 3+ years ago that setting didn't exist, did it? I wonder if it got set to Digital when the feature was added to the app ... ?
