Ring doorbell now black/white with no option to change
I reset my wifi router name and had to reset my Ring Doorbell connection. This caused my Ring doorbell to perform a automatic software update. After the update, my Ring Doorbell camera is only black/white. I called Ring tech support and after another reboot Im still only BW and there no option in the video setting to change. The texh told me there is no setting option because that was removed with software update and my only recourse is a new Ring Doorbell at a discount. This is not fair. I had a perfectly working color camera image before. Now Im forced to buy a newer Ring Door bell due to Ring’s software update glitch. Im checking for a class action lawsuit for some compensation.

Hi @user_cad5d4. It sounds like your Ring Doorbell's night vision is on, as that is the only reason video would be black and white. Is your Doorbell installed on a covered or shaded porch? Sometimes the night vision will come on during the day if there isn't sufficient lighting. Try exposing the Doorbell to a bright light, which should trigger the night vision to turn off. If that doesn't work, you can fully reset the Doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is complete, walk through a new setup in the Ring app using the steps under Set Up a Device.
