Ring Video Doorbell
Ring doorbell has scratch on lens
Is there a way to replace the lens on ring doorbell? Mine has been scratched directly in the middle distorting most of the images.

I have been searching for info on that as well. I think your question was misunderstood or poorly answered by ring support. Anything can be replaced with the right tools, parts and/orknowhow. Here's a guide for anyone who needs it. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Ring+Video+Doorbell++Camera+Replacement/105632 It is predictable that a sub par and scratchable material was used as the camera lens in the first place. We expect a little better quality, Ring Team. Anyway, if you use the usb cable charging option, do not place the ring camera face down on a material as hard or harder than the plastic they use as a camera lens. If you're like me, I'm not fond of the idea of Ring/Amazon having a camera/microphone sitting live inside my house. I now situate mine inside a pouch to charge or something similar (those shoddy little flexible drink coolers. etc) while hooked up to charge. On a side note, Ring, you should put as much effort into quality and privacy as you do for making it a pain-in-the-neck to login (forcing 2fa, reenter email amd password, enter text 2fa again, etc). Maybe we don't think you need our private mobile numbers or even our real addresses. Enough ranting. I hope this helps. Ring, please do better. Competitors, make a good product and don't sell out to a bigger company as soon as you've achieved that goal.

Good video. Too bad it doesn't say where to get a replacement camera or if it's cost-effective to replace the camera or just buy a new doorbell.

Hey @Macgyver89. While the lens itself cannot be replaced, if you're still within [warranty](https://shop.ring.com/pages/warranty), you can reach out to our support team for a replacement. For this, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). We're taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19. This has resulted in longer than normal wait times.
