ring doorbell drains battery too fast

my ring doorbell 2 drains battery in a couple of days. i even bought a new battery but that drained in 3 days. do i need to buy a new device or is there a fix

    Mine took about a week to drain from fully charged to about 10%. Just lowered motion-detection settings on the app to the least sensitive. Hoping that'll make a difference...
