Hi all I recently installed my ring 2 per instructions and after a week or so the battery died. I’m in the U.K. and have a blue/white and green/white wire that are fine red (the same as my old doorbell) and a brown/white and orange/white that are not connected. Any idea where I’m going wrong?

Hi @paulcstewart76. Hardwiring your Doorbell will provide it with a trickle charge that is designed to help keep the battery levels topped off. If your Doorbell experiences a large number of recordings from dings, motions, or Live Views, this could be causing the battery to drain more quickly than it can keep a charge from the trickle charge. It's also important to keep in mind that cold weather can affect the battery as well. You can read more about that in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/115005939463-Cold-Weather-and-Battery-Powered-Ring-Doorbells). I hope this information is helpful! :)
