Reactivating Camera
Hello, I lost connection to my camera and I’m trying to reboot it. I “deactivated” the camera instead of deleting it off my account. So now I’m trying to reboot my camera and it’s not working. My chime is stating that it’s online but not the camera. I’ve tried reinstalling the camera and it’s still not connecting. What is the problem and what solution do you recommend? Because, honestly it shouldn’t take so many tries to reboot a camera. My WiFi fine, I’m using the correct password, and my chime is online. I had this same issue with the mother’s chime. It wouldn’t connect once it loss connection due to a storm. We literally had to wait a few days just to reconnect. Once again what is the problem and a solution. Thank you,

Hi @user_87af71. After deactivating a Ring Camera, you would need to walk through a new setup in the Ring app to use it again. Make sure the Ring Camera is within range of the router, and have your wifi SSID and password ready. Follow the steps under Set Up a Device to complete a new setup. We have troubleshooting steps to address common issues during the setup process. If you're still unable to get your Ring Camera up and running, our support team can provide further assistance. You can reach out at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.
