P3-11 with solar panels charging

Hello all yes I have the same problem with the P3 – 11. I have tried charging them at the wall and then installing them and noticed the battery got very hot. I’m wondering if due to age the battery is no longer good. If anyone has any help here would appreciate your assistance! Ring door bell and stick cam.
