Mounting Ring Doorbell 3 in place of version 1 device, same mount?

I'm considering upgrading my v1 Ring doorbell to a new v3 doorbell. It's currently mounted on a Ring solar charging plate. Would the new doorbell be able to mount onto the existing plate, or do I need to remove teh v1 solar plate and drill new holes in the wall for the v3 plate? I assume the v3 has a similar solar plate for sale? cheers
