I’ve have a ring wired doorbell pro. It’s been working okay for past few years. Recently it no longer operates the mechanical doorbell inside my house. I removed it and touched the wires together and the mechanical door bell worked just fine. Put it back together and it worked for the first ring but it stopped working again. I do have the adapter installed in my doorbell. Any ideas on this?

Hi @user_0db0d3. Check the chime kit in your home to make sure it is on the compatibility list. I'd also recommend checking that the Pro Power Kit is properly installed on the chime kit, as this is what ensures the doorbell is receiving sufficient power. It could also be a power issue, as the transformer may not be providing enough power for both the Wired Doorbell Pro and the chime kit on the same circuit. The Wired Doorbell Pro requires a transformer that is 16-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz. You may need to consult a qualified electrician to check the transformer.
