Mechanical doorbell Ring 2 not working since couple of weeks
Hello,My mechanical bell doesn't work anymore since a couple of weeks. It worked good since I bought it two years ago. But a couple of weeks ago, the mechanical bell doesn't ring anymore. All other things work in the app, but we don't hear the mechanical bell (what we really need).Strangely, it works a couple of hours when I disconnect the battery of the Ring and restart it. After a couple of hours (or days I don't know), it stops working (no mechanical ring). After that we again need to disconnect the battery,... .I read some posts on the forum of other people that seem to have this same issue (since april?), so I suppose it is the same problem.I've called with the helpdesk. But they try to do me things as hard reset, send a photo of the transformator, take the transformator out of the fuse box and make a picture of the wires,... Very frustrating as my doorbell still doesn't work, it feels like losing time. People don't understand why we don't open the door.Helpdesk is endless that way. It works if the Ring device restarts after a battery disconnect so it can't be a wire problem ? They even asked me to call an elektrician and take a look at it. Hello ? It worked, it works after a reset for a couple of hours, nothing changed with the wires... .Can someone of you please help us ? Very frustrating. This device costs appr. 200 euro, if you want to use it you need to pay a subscription, if it doesn't work they ask you to call an elektrician while it's 99% the problem of the Ring itself. I'm working already more than 8 hours to try to solve that problem, and that's Rings answer ???Thanks a lot !

Hi @\_user. Thank you for providing those details on what you're experiencing and what you've tried so far. Based on the concern you're describing, it does sound like there could be something within the wiring or the Doorbell circuit itself that is causing this to happen. However, there could be multiple different causes for this type of concern, so it would be best to contact support. You can give our support team a call at one of the numbers available[here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). Our support team will walk through several different causes to try and narrow it down. If they run through all applicable troubleshooting steps and your device is still not working, they're able to offer you a replacement if you're within [warranty](https://shop.ring.com/pages/warranty). We’re taking additional steps to protect our team and help reduce the spread of COVID-19, so this has resulted in longer than normal wait times.
