Long Motion notification lag time

Lately both my driveway and front porch cameras have had long lag times before notifying me. For example, my driveway cam doesn’t notify me of movement until my husband is already walking into the house. Also, someone stole items off my porch and it didn’t even show them until they were by my door and what it did show was just a blur. I didn’t get the notification until they were running down my driveway so my ring cameras were useless. They didn’t even show up on the driveway camera which should have caught them.
