How does one report a system failure? My Ring did not catch a thief early this morning. There is literally nothing recorded for 4 hours on the video. Should have caught something!

Hi @user39884. Sorry to hear that you experienced a theft. A Ring Doorbell does not record continuously, but it will record when motion is detected, someone presses the button, or when you activate Live View. I'd suggest going over your motion settings to ensure everything is set up to your liking. When creating your [Motion Zones](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/210243483-Utilizing-Motion-Zones-with-your-Ring-Devices), keep in mind the common pathways people may take when approaching your front door. If your Doorbell is battery powered, you will have a [Motion Frequency](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477106-Understanding-and-Optimizing-Motion-Detection-with-Motion-Frequency) setting that you can configure as well.
