False Door Rings and a non-stop rapid ringing

Several times a week my doorbell rings for no reason. Nobody out front and no motion. Also, about once a week now the doorbell will get into a rapid ringing almost like an alarm clock going off and it doesn't stop until the battery runs down. It's very frustrating and loud. No diode and I recharge it so there is no constant electical connection.
