Experience with expired subscription
battery-video-doorbell
Just posting an FYI in addition to others with the same scenario. Since the subscription expired I am now getting way more notifications but cannot access live view at all. It’s very annoying. I don’t care about past videos but I should be allowed to see live, shouldn’t I? I have a video doorbell and spotlight cam. I can’t afford to renew at the moment and frankly I don’t know if I will because I am aggravated 😆

Hi there, @Bridgetc! This should not happen, as live view is not dependent on subscription. Our Protect Plan subscriptions are optional, and you should certainly have live view functionality without it. Have you tried out the Rapid Ring app? The Rapid Ring app is designed to allow the quickest access to live view. I recommend also going through your motion settings, as a test, and disabling [Advanced Motion Detection](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042728431-Advanced-Motion-Detection-in-Ring-Devices) settings such People Only Mode, or even using default settings. If live view works with the most default settings, slowly enable each to see if something specific is interfering with your Ring app functionality for live view. Please also ensure there is not a vpn enabled on your mobile device. Feel free to let me know how this goes! :)
