Camera recording side-to-side motion but not walking straight at it??

We have had people walk straight at our door, right up to the door and camera, without the camera indicating that a person (or even motion) was at the door.I can walk across the camera view and it will indicate person at front door.Why does it not capture the motion/person at the front door when walk straight at the camera.

Hi @user_a76f5f. Head on motion is harder to detect than a person or object moving across a camera's view. You can try editing your Motion Zones to extend farther down the walkway, allowing motion to be detected earlier. Another option is to consider a Corner Kit, which will angle the Ring Doorbell's view slightly towards your door.
