Bug report: Activate and deactivate Motion Zone

The option to activate or deactivate a motion zone is no longer showing. When you edit motion zones, you now only have the option to delete the zone or add a new one. The help center article, “Utilizing Motion Zones With Your Powered Ring Devices” states that this is still an option, but it is missing from the app. I no longer have this option on my Ring Pro doorbell or my Spotlight cams.

I have the same situation with the Android Ring app and the Ring Doorbell Pro. I found some download able older versions here: https://ring.en.uptodown.com/android/versions I uninstalled my current version and replaced it with ver. 3.28.1 and the function returned. I just did that so I haven't found out if it will cause a different problem.

Guessing this bug was reintroduced shortly afterward. It’s still a problem in 5.42 (even after reinstalling it) and makes my doorbell much less useful. I need to deactivate zones at certain times. Deleting and recreating is a huge pain with the “shape rules” which limit how you draw a zone.
