Wifi Setup stops at 95%
wireless-security-cameras

Ring camera was working fine.  Then one day it stopped connecting to WiFi. The setup connection stops at 95%. I am trying to connect to Brightspeed internet. I have tried connecting using 2ghz and/or 5ghz. - No luck Was success in connecting to Spectrum internet. Ring thought it might be a firewall issue. Any other suggestions? Paula

Hi @user_7f1cb0. It's possible it could be a firewall issue. Have there been any changes to your wifi network? Try checking that the ports and protocols used by Ring devices are open. You can also try changing the router channel to a less busy one.

Thank you for responding, where do I find those settings to verify the values?  I logged into my modem and I didn't see these values.

I also have Brightspeed and have the same issue that started very recently.  I'd rather poke my eyes out than call their tech support.

@user_7f1cb0. You may need to contact your internet service provider for assistance with adjusting advanced networked settings. The options can vary depending on your provider, and the modem you have.

I have contacted my internet provider, Bright Speed, and they state that there is nothing wrong on their end.  They further state that they do not block any devices. Reading other community post I am not the only one who cannot the camera any longer. What connection step is at 95% that is causing the failure?

I brought my camera to a friends house that has Charter - the camera hooked up quickly and flawlessly so it HAS to be the Brightspeed.......I'm not sure  how I'm going to convince them.  If the planets align and I get a fix I'll post it here.

Did you ever get yours working?  I also have brightspeed and they were not helpful.  The did create a 2g only network for me, but it still will not work.
