Trigger range

Just installed Two stick up battery units and found the 30 foot trigger range very disappointing for the price of the unit. The ads and web site hide that range very well. Had I known that, I’d buy another brand. Is there a way to increase it and if not is a software modification in the works? The Wyze cameras I have easily reach 100 feet, are ⅓ the price but are not weatherproof. I have one installed in an enclosed porch and it sees all a neighbor is doing.
