Temporarily disabling floodlight?

I have two of the Ring Floodlight Cam Plus units and am VERY happy with them! I do have one problem however. I often get up before sunrise and sit on my back deck. When I do, the floodlight senses motion and turns on. I don't want it to come on at that time, so I've been switching the power to the floodlight camera. I turn it back on after sunrise. When I do this, the camera doesn't detect motion again until after sundown. If there a way to temporarily turn off only the floodlight's motion detection without disabling the camera's motion detection?

Hi @user24398. You can set up a [Light Schedule](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360019494811-Using-Light-Scheduling-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam) for your Floodlight Cam and make it so that the lights do not turn on during a set time and day. You can also manually disable the motion-activated lights in your Lights Settings and turn them back on when you want. To disable the motion activated lights follow these steps: - Open your Ring app - Tap the three lines on the top right. - Tap Devices. - Tap **Device Settings.** - Tap **Light Settings.** - Toggle off Motion Activated Lights Both these options do not affect the motion detection on your Camera. I hope this helps.

Can I please add a feature request to make this a one click operation? It’s a common thing to wanting to go out on the deck without having several clicks to disable motion detection in the lights is frustrating. Schedule doesn’t help for this situation at all. Also, the motion settings for the lights aren’t useful. Why can’t it piggy back off the normal motion detection zones? As it is, it’s more sensitive and turns on the lights in zones I don’t want. Finally, it would have been nice if the light itself had a floodlight wire input, as our old floodlight had a switch that could turn it on overriding motion sensing.
