Stick camera plug vsbattery

I recently upgraded my plug in stick cams to battery stick cams but for whatever reason even after calling customer support, they are no longer functioning i.e. getting any motion sensing through a window. Let me explain to you that they are in the exact same position that I had the plug-in stick cam that works just fine through a window, theres got to be a simple setting that I’m overlooking. Product support had me reboot, reset and flip all the settings still not working.
