Spotlight camera battery power adapter

Hi. Does anyone know if connecting my spotlight camera battery to a power adapter will change the preset motion detection zone interface to switch to the custom motion zone interface? Thanks in advance.

Hey @GONZO17. The [Indoor/Outdoor Power Adapter](https://shop.ring.com/products/indoor-outdoor-power-adapter-barrel-plug) is only compatible and usable on the Stick Up Cam Battery. If you plug up the Stick Up Cam Battery with this, you can then have it have the hardwired device features through our Dual Power mode feature, which you can learn more about [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045463592-Changing-power-modes-on-your-Ring-Stick-Up-Cam-3rd-generation-). This does not apply to the Spotlight Cam Battery at this time, so you will need to replace it with a Spotlight Cam Wired to have the hardwired device motion settings that you desire.
