Spotlight Cam VS Floodlight Cam

Hello from the UK I have a question. Currently I have 3 spotlight cams, two of which are solar powered, and the other has 2 batteries installed. One thing that has always annoyed me is that they dont function as regular security lighting would and light up everytime motion is present. They light up first, then after the lights have gone out, if I walk infront of it again, the lights dont come on again. If this were a normal PIR light this wouldnt happen. I am thinking of upgrading my old retro black stick up cam classic at the front to a full on floodlight cam, but, will the lights function on these as a spotlight cam or not?? thanks TM
