Spotlight Cam Plus Light Doesn’t Come On With DISTANT Motion

Spotlight Cam Plus light doesn’t come on at night with motion as it should. The camera motion detection is great and records it, but the light don’t come on unless the object is close to the camera, 10’ or so. For example, if a person walks directly under it or a bug is on it, the light comes on. But if a cat walks directly under it, it detects and records it, but doesn’t turn on the light. Please advise.
