  Hi @K80jdn56. Check the device profile page and ensure Motion Detection and Motion Alerts are toggled on. In addition, verify your [Modes settings](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360036107792-Control-All-of-Your-Ring-Devices-with-Modes) to make sure your Camera is set to detect and record motion in every Mode. Also, review your [Smart Alerts](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360032947972-Refining-Your-Motion-Alert-Notifications-for-People-and-Other-Motions-) settings to make sure you have not disabled recording or notifications of the different types of motion events. Lastly, adjust your Motion Zones, Motion Sensitivity and the [Motion Frequency](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003477106-Understanding-and-Optimizing-Motion-Detection-with-Motion-Frequency) (on battery powered devices). After going through your settings thoroughly and checking that everything appears to be set to your liking, try testing out the motion detection by walking around on your property. Testing it will also help you make any additional adjustments as you go.
