Ring timeline question - new to ring
I have a few netatmo presence cameras across my property and i love it because when a motion is detected in the monitoring zone, I get a notifications for each motion with a screenshot for the motion, then i can decide to dismiss the notification based on the screeshot. And then when I open the app, all the timeline of motion detections has screenshots on netatmo.I just purchased a new ring stick up wired cam for another area to test out as the netatmo presence was a bit out of budget for it. But having just set it up, I dont see any snapshots or anything for the motion detection. Am i missing something? It seems really strange that i have to watch every motion event to know what it is. With my netatmo i can see snapshots for the event and decide if i need to watch it or not.Am i missing something? or does ring app not work with snapshots?

I still have not been able to get an answer regarding this. But from all the reading and researching i did over the past 24hrs it seems like Ring app just isnt designed like that, which is a real shame. I just dont understand how charging what they charge for the service to record, why they wouldnt even offer this as it seems like the most common sense thing to do. Even the logitech circle camera does this. I've uploaded an updated set of screenshots showing logitech screen app too. Ring just seem to be purely charging for recording something that any basic NVR or even SD card camera can do.

I noticed a snapshot setting that lets you choose every 3 minutes, 1 minute or 30seconds. I've set it to 1 min but nothing happens, what is this feature supposed to do? From what i've understood it just fills in the gap of recordings with snapshots taken at the set intervals. But it still doesn't do the snapshot in the timeline like i'm referring to. Attached is an example screenshot of the ring app vs the netatmo app, and you can see what I mean about snapshots in the timeline. Is this not possible at all with the Ring App? If will have to return this camera and just buy another Netatmo.
