No Way to Tighten Floodlight Cam Lights Into Position No Wingnuts Anymore
hardwired-security-cameras

I have a wired flood light cam that is the newer design that doesn't have the wing nuts on the neck to tighten the floodlights into the desired lighting position like the old-style floodlight cams did. When the wind blows hard my flood light position gets moved. Yesterday I found them pointing directly straight down into ground instead of out into my yard. What is the remedy for this? I don't see any set screws or wingnuts anywhere on the neck to tighten these. Appears to be a bad design.

Hi @user_0a5bc5. Which Floodlight Cam do you have, the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus or Pro? The device name can be found on the Device Health page in the Ring app.

Make sure to Take the original hardware with you to the hardware store to match up the bolt diameter to use.

You could find a stainless steel bolt replacement and add the wing nut with flat washers to support your camera head by going to a local Ace Hardware Store. It is a modification easily done. Make sure to put all your hardware in a plastic bag or an old pill container for safe keeping. I might do the same thing actually. Makes it easier to adjust and tighten by hand.
